About & method
Who runs this site, how every number is collected and verified, and what we refuse to publish.
This site publishes dated numbers — prices, limits, quotas, processing times — pulled from primary sources and re-checked on a fixed schedule. The point is not to explain a topic. The point is to be the page you can quote when you need the number itself.
What we publish
- Tables of prices, limits and quotas, each cell traced to a primary source
- The date every figure was last confirmed, printed on the page
- Diffs: what changed since the previous check, and when it changed
- Calculators where the arithmetic matters more than the prose
How we verify
- Primary source first. Vendor pricing pages, official documentation, regulator filings, published fee schedules. A vendor blog post is not a source for a vendor's own price.
- Two-step check. Every figure is captured twice, on different days, before it is published. If the two captures disagree, the figure is marked in flux rather than published as a number.
- Dated, not undated. A number without a date is a rumour. Every table carries its verification date, and the page displays it above the fold.
- Corrections are published, not silently patched. When a figure changes we update the page and note the change with the date it was made.
What we do not do
- We do not publish numbers we have not seen in a primary source.
- We do not accept paid placement inside a data table. Ever.
- We do not generate bulk pages from a template with the words swapped. Every page must add a fact that did not exist in machine-readable form before.
Independence
Advertising on this site is sold programmatically and has no influence on which products appear in a table or in what order. Affiliate links, where present, are labelled on the page and never change a ranking. If a company pays us for anything, it is disclosed in the relevant article.
